Hi and happy Friday to you!

Last weekend our friends joined us at our cabin where we cooked up a feast. I’ve made this crostini appetizer for them before, where since then they’ve adopted it as their own. So I made it for them again to remind them who’s boss :).

Yesterday I returned home from a few days at Sunriver Resort in Bend, OR for a work retreat, where floating down the Deschutes River and biking along winding paths puts you so in touch with nature, it is hard to get any work done. But work we did, and I’m feeling extra invigorated to finish out the year with new ideas for now and later. It’s amazing how time away from the norm provides the much-needed focus to dial in on goals ahead. If you don’t do getaways to get out of your head, I challenge you to do it.

Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, has donated his $3 billion company to an organization fighting climate change. Can you imagine what the world would be like if more billionaires did things like this? This is just so awesome.
