McDonald’s launches virtual summer ‘camp’ with daily food deals and merch

July is shaping up to be a great month for fast food deals, with Subway offering millions a free sandwich on July 12th and McDonald’s launching its new ‘camp’.
Camp McDonald’s is a new campaign that brings exclusive food deals, menu hacks, merch drops and music performances to McDonald’s lovers.
The virtual experience is only available for US customers within the McDonald’s app from Tuesday, July 5th to Sunday, July 31st.
“Mark your calendars, because McDonald’s has your pass to the event of the summer. Starting July 5, we’re opening the doors to Camp McDonald’s – and no, it’s nothing like camp as you know it,” the fast-food chain said.
“It’s a virtual camp experience featuring the hottest lineup of food deals, menu hacks, limited-edition merch and music performances from amazing artists.”

You need to download the app
Camp McDonald’s is an in-app experience where you can gain access to exclusive freebies, deals and merch.
So, to take part you’ll first have to download the McDonald’s app and sign up. Then, there will be different deals to bag every day.
To redeem your food deal, find the daily deal in the app and press “Add to Mobile Order” to order it via the app’s ‘Mobile Order & Pay” feature.
Then, collect your order from your chosen McDonald’s store. Each offer will only be available for 24 hours from 12:00 am.
All Camp McDonald’s menu items will be served in special packaging, including custom bags and cold cups that have been designed just for the virtual experience.
Camp McDonald’s digital food offers are can not be claimed via McDelivery, Uber Eats or DoorDash and are exclusive to orders made via the McDonald’s app.

How to get Camp McDonald’s merch
As well as food deals, there are also a number of exclusive merch drops in collaboration with various companies.
To claim your Grimace Float, innisfree merch, Free & Easy products, Kid Cudi merch and Ma®ket collboration, you have to spend $1 via Mobile Order & Pay.
Then, you’ll be given a promo code and taken to a third-party partner site where you can use the code to purchase the available merch.
With the innisfree merch, you will be given a promo code to use on the innisfree website but will also have to make a purchase on the innisfree site to redeem it.
To view the exclusive performances from blackbear, Omar Apollo, BIBI and Kid Cudi, you will also have to spend $1 via Mobile Order & Pay.
