Sioux Falls restaurants and caterers have you covered with catering and take-home options for the holiday. Nearly all restaurants have a deadline for the orders, so hurry before you’re out of time.
If you still don’t want to cook but you’d like to venture outside, keep an eye out for a list of restaurants that’ll be open on Thanksgiving.

A Dinner Birdie Thanksgiving TV dinner for one from Chef Jeni comes in a disposable oven tray with turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberries and stuffing for $19.98. Dessert items for one can be added as well. Order online by Nov. 24.
Chef Lance’s on Phillips:
The downtown restaurant is offering a Thanksgiving menu packed with roasted turkey, sage gravy, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, sweet mashed potatoes, farmhouse creamed corn, caramelized sausage and apple dressing, green bean casserole and a Breadsmith dinner roll. Meals cost $24 a person with pick up on Thanksgiving day between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Order online by Nov. 18.
The Cracker Barrel’s Heat n’ Serve feast is a traditional Thanksgiving meal serving between eight to 10 people. The meal includes two oven-roasted turkey breasts, cornbread dressing, turkey gravy, cranberry relish, sweet potato casserole with pecans, choice of two country sides, sweet yeast rolls, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. A 24-hour notice is needed for online orders, which are available for pick up between Nov. 20 and 27.
Daily Clean Food & Drink:
The healthy-eating restaurant featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives will offer a holiday vegetable tray and dessert tray, which caters to gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free and vegan guests. The restaurant will take orders through the morning of Nov. 24. Pick up will be Nov. 24 between 2 and 8 p.m. Call Daily Clean Food and Drink to place the order.
En Place Catering:
Sioux Falls’ newest catering company from the owners of Bread and Circus is offering a dinner featuring everything from a herb-brined and roasted Ferndale turkey ($40) to sides such as crème fraiche crushed new potatoes, apple and fennel sausage stuffing, roasted brussels with a bacon vinaigrette and goat cheese, or green bean casserole with mushrooms and herbs ($15 each). Order online for pickup or delivery.
Holiday meal orders will be available to order soon. Cost varies by size and food ordered. Boxes can be ordered through the day before Thanksgiving.
Fat Kid Filly’s:
The Sioux Falls food truck is offering a turkey with 4 pounds of stuffing, 4 pounds of mashed potatoes with gravy, 4 pounds of green bean casserole and one family-sized apple crisp for $175. Tax and delivery charge included.
Several options for meals are available through Hy-Vee catering, including brunch for up to six people and traditional meals, such as turkey, ham and prime rib dinners along with choices of desserts and sides, such as pies, white cheddar macaroni, mashed potatoes or green bean casserole. Prices range from $22 to $270 depending on size (serving from two to 12 people) and menus. Deadline to order is Nov. 23.
The Mediterranean food truck-turned-restaurant will be serving up a Thanksgiving take-home meal that includes five skewers of lamb or beef kabab, five skewers of chicken shish tawook, five skewers of lamb chislic pieces, one pound of lamb shawarma, one pound of chicken shawarma, one platter of rice, one platter of fries, one hummus tahini appetizer, one eggplant appetizer, one fattoush salad and six pieces of flat bread. The southern Sioux Falls restaurant and grocery store offers a choice of turkey, brine kit, prime rib or tenderloin along with a variety of side choices ranging from potato gratin, cheesy skillet corn, mashed potatoes, stuffing and roasted Brussel sprouts with bacon. Breads, salads and pies can also be added to the order. Order online or by calling the store.
Sioux Falls Food Co-op:
Order options ranging from roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, sweet potato gratin, quinoa stuffed acorn squash, green bean casserole and pumpkin tarts. Prices range by what you order. Order online, and the deadline is Nov. 17.
Swamp Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen:
The Swamp Daddy’s Thanksgiving menu includes a choice of ham or smothered turkey wings with a choice of three sides and one dessert. Sides include mashed potatoes, candied yams, baked mac n’ cheese, fried corn and more. The meal serves one person and costs $25. Order online when pre-ordering is available.
